Weihai Weidongri Comprehensive Foodstuff Co., Ltd., a Sino-Japanese joint venture, is a large frozen food manufacturer. The company was established in October 1993, with a registered capital of USD8,000,000. Japanese Katokichi Ltd. holds 87.5% shares and China Weihai Fenglin Group holds the remaining 12.5%.
The company put into production in October 1995 with a total investment of USD20,000,000. The factory covering area is 51,000 square meters with the construction area of 22,650 square meters, and total 2,200 staff members. The factory introduced the most advanced equipment and technology from Japan and South Korea, and also took technical training and consultancy absolutely from Japan parent company, Katokichi Ltd.
The company had gained certain certificates, including ISO9001 Certificate in 1998, HACCP Certificate in 1999, and had been authenticated by Japan Frozen Food Association in 2000. Company's productivity is more than 1,600 metric tons every month. The capacity of the F-level frozen warehouse with the temperature lower than minus 18 degrees centigrade is 5000 metric tons. Main business scope includes aquatic products, agriculture products, ready-made foodstuff and breadcrumbs.
The main products of our company are all kinds of HOKI fillets, horse mackerel fillets, Sardine fillets, all kinds of seafood fried vegetables, rice, octopus balls, manmade crab meat, and all kinds of semi-finished products. All the products are made according to export Japan standard, and are always exported in large quantity. Meantime, we can develop new product types by ourselves and we can make new types according to clients' orders.
