Sinosteel Trading Company, a wholly funded subsidiary of Sinosteel Corporation, is a state-owned large-size foreign trade company. Our predecessor, the China Metallurgical Import & Export Corporation (CMIEC), was founded in January 1980 and renamed as Sinosteel Trading Company on November 17, 2004.The registered capital of our company is USD10,000,000. Our company is mainly engaged in international and domestic trade of metallurgical raw and auxiliary materials, such as imported iron ore and exported refractories, fluorspars, bauxites, magnesites and rare earth. We are also specialized in the development of metallurgical products.
Refractories operated by us are mainly from Sinosteel Luoyang Refractory Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as SLRC) and Sinosteel Corporation Luoyang Institute of Refractory Research (abbreviated as LIRR), two manufacturing enterprises of Sinosteel Corporation. Our refractory products include acidic, basic and neutral refractories. They involve 10 systems, 126 standards, 350 brands and more than 40 thousand shapes in a large scale.Our main products range from oxide composite refractory, non-oxide composite refractory, high quality aluminum system and silica system, top grade basic products, Al-C & Al-Mg-C products for continuous casting, light insulation bricks, non-fired bricks, ceramic kiln furniture products to unshaped refractory materials. All these provide good services for iron and steel, construction, non-ferrous metallurgy, electric power, machinery, light industry and petrochemical industry.
The silica bricks manufactured by SLRC have won the national silver award - the highest state level award for refractory. Our silica bricks enjoy leading quality in the world. The export quantity ranks the first in China. Our products have been exported to more than 30 countries such as America, Canada, England, France, German, Italy, Austria, Russia, South Africa, Brazil, Japan, India and Australia.Our company has a state-grade technology center and a province-grade technology center. We employ over 1,000 technicians and production management personnel.
We have 3,900 devices for production and research, including automatic presses imported from Japan and Italy. Also, our company has a 202.5m tunnel kiln, the longest tunnel in China, a 176m³ automatic shuttle kiln with computer control facilities from Germany as well as the various kinds of testing and inspecting apparatus from Japan and Germany.For a long period of time, Sinosteel Trading Company has made brilliant achievements in the development and operation of our core commodities.
